Raleigh Hills Park, 5-7 pm. Get to know our parish family at this park picnic social. We will meet in the south corner at the grassy area in front of the Swim Center at several reserved picnic tables. Find the red balloons. Bring your picnic blanket, a dish to share, and a swim suit if you want to swim. We’ll provide utensils and plates. Feel free to share this invitation with other parishioners and your family. Welcome all!
For the 11th year, we are contributing school supplies for the children of the Western Farm Workers’ Association (WFWA). Bring you donations on Sundays or any time the church is open, up until noon on Friday, August 25th. Students need paper, pencils, colored pencils, back packs, notebooks, and erasers. On Saturday, August 26th, volunteers are needed to sort and load the donations in back packs. This will take place at Reedwood Presbyterian Church, 2785 SW 29th Ave, Aloha, OR. A sign up sheet is on the narthex table.
The third Sunday of each month is Rite III, which features contemporary music accompanied by guitar, piano, flute, and dulcimer. This month features the children singing “Jesus Loves the Little Children.”
We are beginning a new book, The First Love Story: Adam, Eve, and Us by Bruce Feller, whose previous books include Walking the Bible and Abraham. The group meets from 10:15-11:30 on Tuesday mornings in the Bishop Ladehoff Room. All are welcome!
The Year of the Bible wraps up in September, and we will begin the Year of the Holy Spirit. Each month will feature a different fruit of the Spirit (from Galatians 5:22-23). September will focus on LOVE. Sunday Adult Forums will start up, and the choir will return.
